Undergraduate Advising Team
Lydia earned her B.S. in Mathematics and an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from Virginia Tech and her Ph.D in Mathematics Education from Columbia University. She has been teaching mathematics at the college level for 15 years and previously served as the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs for the College of Arts and Sciences at SU. In her free time, she is chasing her three boys around and getting to and from all of their sports practices and games.
Jo received her undergraduate degree and Master’s here at Shenandoah. She has been working at Shenandoah for 17 years in the Advising area for 14 of those years. Jo loves to read and spend time with her family outside of work. Working with students is a great pleasure to her, and she strives to make Shenandoah a place of belonging for everyone.
Kyle graduated from Shenandoah in 2020 with his Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Sociology. During his time at SU, Kyle participated in a GCP trip to Greece and a GEL trip to Uganda and Rwanda, which sparked his interest in travel and led him to teach English in Spain after graduation. In his free time, Kyle loves watching his favorite sports teams – the Baltimore Orioles, Sevilla FC, and the Green Bay Packers.
Karri earned her Bachelor’s degree in English from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and her Master’s in Adult and Higher Education from the University of Southern Maine. Karri is a published fiction author who has also taught creative writing workshops and adult education courses for aspiring writers and fellow creatives. Karri strives to help students discover their passions and tap into their own creative spark to make their higher education journey more meaningful.
Will graduated from Shenandoah in 2022 with a Bachelor in Business Administration and a concentration in Sports Management. During his time at SU, Will participated in a GEL trip to Gwangju, South Korea, and was also a student athlete playing 5 years of football. In his free time, Will enjoys watching football and playing video/ board games.
