First-Year, Transfer, Re-Admit Students
Admission to a Music, Theatre or Dance program includes being academically admissible, as well as successfully completing and passing the mandatory audition, interview and/or portfolio review process. All confirmation materials can be accessed in the Application Portal and via the email listed on the application.
Complete the Undergraduate Application Process
- Complete the First-Year Undergraduate Admission Application or the Transfer Undergraduate Admission Application
- Submit official high school and/or college transcripts from each institution attended. Test scores are not required.
- Submit artistic résumé
- Submit headshot. Professional photos are welcome, but not required. A candid shot or senior yearbook photo is fine.

Register for Your Audition, Interview & Portfolio Review
Register for an Audition, Interview & Portfolio Review via your Shenandoah Application Portal.
Audition dates are limited and may fill and close well in advance of the audition date.
Admission decisions are not made until all application materials are received and the audition has been completed. Conservatory applicants must successfully pass their audition, interview, and/or portfolio review (if applicable) and complete the music skills assessment and written theory diagnostic (if applicable) in order to be admitted.
Fall Semester/Spring Semester Applications
Shenandoah Conservatory accepts applications and admits students to all conservatory programs in the Fall (August) semester. Shenandoah accepts applications for some programs for the Spring (January) semester depending on availability. Applicants are encouraged to contact Admissions to determine if their program of interest has openings for the spring semester.
